Frequently asked questions
What does the Unicool app do?
Unicool is a companion for families raising autistic children, children with ADHD, and children with suspected neurodivergence.
Meltdowns can feel unpredictable, but they’re not random. Unicool learns your child’s signals across sleep, sensory load, routines, and environment, and turns them into personalised, expert-backed strategies so you feel prepared, not blindsided.

What’s the expertise behind the app?
Our methodology is grounded in strong clinical evidence: over 10 years of neuropsychology research, 5,000+ research participants, and a clinical approach validated across thousands of therapy sessions in our earlier product for neurodivergent children and their families. Our team also includes neurodivergent people who lived through meltdowns in childhood, as well as parents of children with ADHD and autism. We’re part of this community.
Is this therapy or medical advice?
No. Unicool is not therapy and does not replace professional care. It’s a support tool designed to help parents notice patterns and feel more prepared for hard moments. Unicool does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or emergency support.
Is this for diagnosed kids only?
No. You don’t need a formal diagnosis to start using the Unicool app. Your child can be autistic, have ADHD, have suspected neurodivergence, or simply need more support with emotional regulation than most children their age. We built this tool for parents to use right now, in the gap between need and diagnosis.
Where can I find an Android version?
Right now, our app is only available on iOS, but a web app version is also available.
What do you mean by “money-back guarantee”?
If Unicool doesn’t help you understand your child’s patterns better, email us at support@unicoolkido.com within 30 days for a full refund — no questions asked.
How else can I use the data I logged?
If your data shows that the meltdown problem is consistent, the Unicool app will suggest next steps such as booking a GP or SENCO appointment, pursuing an ADHD or ASD diagnosis, or applying for an EHCP. It will guide you through the preparation, documentation, and actions required. Your emotional history report can also serve as supporting evidence for school absence explanations, letters to SENCO, and tribunal submissions.
